What do the Mazda CX-7 dash lights mean?

There are several dash lights on my new Mazda CX-7 and I have no idea what they are supposed to indicate. What do the Mazda CX-7 dash lights mean?

Your
Mazda CX-7
dash lights indicate when there is something wrong. However, with so many dash lights it’s impossible to remember what they all mean and when you should worry.
Dash lights are color-coded to indicate the severity of an issue. Red lights usually indicate serious trouble while yellow lights are a warning. Be sure to take your car to a mechanic if your Mazda displays red or yellow lights. Green lights are indicators (think your high beams are on!).
Here are the dash lights you should know:
  • Battery: Charging system warning
  • Oil can: Engine oil warning
  • Thermometer: High engine coolant temperature warning
  • Triangle with an exclamation point: A master warning light
  • Steering wheel with an exclamation point: Power steering malfunction indicator
If your Mazda CX-7 displays a dash light and you don’t know what it means, check your owner’s manual.
