What do I do if I'm shopping for a quote in Texas and I don't have an established credit history?

I'm 18 and looking to buy my own insurance policy. Because I'm young, I don't have a credit history yet. What do I do when an insurance company asks me about my credit on an application form?

Answer
“In this scenario, I recommend calling the insurance company or agent to see what they suggest. The steps you’ll need to take to get a quote may be unique to each company.
Because credit is a big rating factor in Texas, you may find that some car insurance companies won’t provide you with a policy if you don’t have credit. “
