What are the four sections included in an insurance contract?
"What are the basics of a car insurance contract? I'm new to car insurance and I want to know how this process works."
“The four basic components of a car insurance contract are the declaration page, insuring agreement, exclusions, and conditions.
The declaration page is where you’ll find:
- description of the vehicle
- name of the insured
The insuring agreement is where the company explains what they’ve agreed to pay for. The exclusions are exceptions to the insuring agreement, and the conditions are the circumstances that must be met in order to process a claim.”

Why does the car insurance company care if I want to raise my liability limits?
I was quoting different coverage limit options on my car insurance company’s website to see the price difference, and there was a pop-up asking why I was requesting this amount of coverage. Can’t I get whatever limit I want? Why do they care?
