Is WD-40 safe on car paint?

There are some scuffs on my car that I’d like to get rid of without having to spend money at some autoshop. I’ve heard that you can use WD-40 to fix scuffs, but is WD-40 safe to use on car paint?

Luckily, WD-40 is safe to use on car paint!
People often are hesitant to use WD-40 on their cars, thanks in part to some of its ingredients—the isoparaffinic aliphatic hydrocarbons found in WD-40 are pretty similar to those found in kerosene, so that throws a lot of people off!
However, WD-40 is mixed and made in a way that makes it safe to it use on your car without risking
