Is there any way to get a scratch out of a car window?

Some debris flew up and hit my car window. Is there a way to get this scratch out?

Sorry to hear about your window scratch! Before you bring out the windshield repair people, try this home remedy:
  • Wipe the area clean with a microfiber towel
  • Apply some non-gel toothpaste to a softer cloth
  • Rub in a circular motion for about a minute
  • Wipe away the toothpaste with a damp cloth
  • Repeat until the scratch is gone
If this doesn’t work, you can also get some scratch remover, which is available at most auto parts stores or online. It’s also a great thing to put in your car emergency kit, which can save you if the scratch impairs your driving vision.
In some cases, you may also want to add comprehensive insurance to your car coverage, as it may cover this issue if it’s caused by a vandal or other action out of your control. With the Jerry app, you can compare comprehensive coverage rates from up to 50 top insurers to get the best price. Average Jerry users save $879 per year on car insurance.
