Is Root car insurance legitimate?

I feel like I am severely overpaying for my bare-minimum, liability-only car insurance. I heard about Root Insurance and took a test drive to get a quote. The amount of money that I would be saving each month by switching is unbelievable. Is this for real or is it too good to be true?

 company.
This kind of app-based insurance technology employed by Root is really catching on right now. Many car insurance companies are starting to use similar tech to reduce rates for drivers.
If Root’s price seems too good to be true, the best course of action is to contact them and confirm the details of your quote. But Root policyholders do tend to enjoy lower rates due to the company’s low-risk customer base.
