Is power steering covered under the powertrain warranty from Ford?

I’ve had my Ford vehicle for about two years. Recently, I noticed that the wheel’s getting harder to turn, even though I topped off the power steering fluid. Will the Ford powertrain warranty cover power steering issues?

Ford’s powertrain warranty won’t cover power steering issues, but its 3-year, 36,000-mile new car basic warranty will. Since your car is only two years old, Ford should repair the issue if it’s due to a manufacturer defect and you still have less than 36,000 miles on the odometer.
If Ford denies your claim and you have to pay for the repairs on your own, it’s expensive. Most power steering issues are the result of a faulty power steering pump, which can cost between $500 and $700 to repair.
In the future, you may want to set some money aside for repairs. One way to save up for such repairs is by reducing your
