I’m looking to buy a used Ford Escape but I’m confused about my engine options. In a Ford Escape, how many cylinders are there?

A
Ford Escape
may have three, four, or six cylinders.
Starting in 2020, the standard engine on a Ford Escape is a 1.5L three-cylinder engine that produces 181 horsepower. By sacrificing a bit of power by losing that fourth cylinder, you’ll save about 16% on fuel consumption with this three-cylinder model.
There are a lot of benefits that come with downsizing to three cylinders. Though they used to be rare, three-cylinder engines are becoming more popular. Firstly, these engines are cheaper to manufacture. Secondly, these engines are smaller but can still be turbocharged. The result is a desirable power-to-weight ratio, especially valuable in compact vehicles.
If you want more power, upgrade to the top Titanium trim to get a four-cylinder engine. The Ford Escape Titanium has a turbocharged 2.0L engine that produces 250 horsepower.
From 2001 to 2019, the V6 was available on the Ford Escape in higher trim levels.
Buying a used Ford Escape is a great way to save money. New cars depreciate fast, after all. Make sure you compare
Ford insurance costs
with various companies before you buy a policy for your new-to-you Escape. You could even save enough to justify the purchase of a V6 Escape!
