How to get car insurance?
I just recently moved to the United States. I’m planning to get a new car soon, but I don’t know the process for getting it insured. How can I get insurance for my car?

Congrats on the move! Car insurance can seem complicated, but it doesn’t have to be. Here’s how to start the process:
- Gather as much information as you can on different coverages, policies, companies, etc.
- Decide whether to get it online, in person, or over the phone.
- Buy your policy!
To get a quote, you’ll need the following information:
- Name
- License number
- Social security number (which you should have if you’re a citizen, permanent resident or non-immigrant working resident)
