How much is a non-running car worth?
I was cleaning out the barn at my grandparents’ farm and found a non-running car. My grandparents could use the money we’d get from selling it—so how much are non-running cars usually worth?

Nice find! The value of a non-running car will vary, depending on:
- Title (you won’t be able to sell the car without it)
- Age
- Make
- Model
- Mileage
That said, most non-running vehicles can be worth up to 20-40 percent of the vehicle’s used value. To find buyers, you can advertise privately or contact a scrap yard.
It’s important to note if the car can be repaired in any way, this will immediately improve its value, so it’s definitely worth looking into if you haven’t already! Although the number might not be too high, you might also walk away with a pretty decent check.
