2017 Jeep Cherokee bolt pattern

Nearly all Jeeps have a bolt pattern that begins with the number “5,” including the 2017 Jeep Cherokee. This means that the majority of Jeeps have five bolts affixed to each wheel. One exception to this is the Jeep Wagoneer, which uses six bolts.
But that’s only half of the 2017 Jeep Cherokee’s bolt pattern. The full number is 5x4.3. In other words, the 2017 Cherokee has five bolts per wheel, arranged in a circular pattern that is 4.3-inches in diameter.
Got all that? Good, because there’s more! There are other wheel measurements you’ll need in order to safely change out your Cherokee’s factory wheels. Stud size, wheel offset, center bore,  and torque tightening are the other numbers you’ll be getting familiar with.
Here’s what those numbers look like for the 2017 Jeep Cherokee:
  • Factory wheel size: 17” to 18”
  • Stud size: M12x1.25
  • Offset: 30 to 45 mm
  • Center bore: 65.1 mm
  • Wheel tightening torque: 135 Nm

How to measure your Jeep Cherokee’s bolt pattern

You can always double-check the bolt pattern measurement on your Ford Explorer by measuring it manually.
It’s super simple—just grab a measuring tape or ruler and start the measurement from the outer edge of any of the bolts. Since there are only five bolts, there won’t be a bolt directly opposite the one you started your measurement on, so just pick either of the closest ones and measure to the center. The number you get is the second number in your bolt pattern.
