How much does it cost to maintain a Tesla?
I’m thinking of switching over from a traditional car to a Tesla. I want to make sure I can fully afford it, because my old car has turned into a lemon and is eating a hole in my pocket. I don’t know anything about electric cars and want to know what I’m getting into.

Depending on the Tesla you’re looking into, the general expected maintenance includes:
- Cabin air filter (two to three years)
- HEPA filter (three years)
- Tire care (6,250 miles)
- Break fluid test (two years)
- Desiccant bag replacement for the Airconditioning (three to six years)
- Winter Care prep (once a year or every 12,500 miles)
Another cost, like tires every couple of years or 40,000 miles, is about $1,200.
