I recently saw a Mini Clubvan at my local used car dealership and was surprised, as I’ve never seen or heard of this Mini model before. Do you know how many Mini Clubvans were made?

There’s a reason why you’ve never seen or heard of the
Mini
Clubvan until now. While we’re unsure how many were manufactured, only 50 Mini Clubvans have been sold in the US. The Mini Clubvan hit the American market in 2013 after being announced as a “future consent” on the Mini US site. However, the car was quickly pulled from the market after just 50 models were sold, and it was never reintroduced to the American market again.
The Clubvan’s stifled success in America is largely because of the 25% tax levied on vehicles for commercial use, making it tough for European carmakers to compete with domestic automakers who were already producing small commercial trucks. However, its rareness in the US makes the Mini Clubvan quite a novelty in the American car industry.
