How many glasses of red wine can I have before driving?

Every Friday, I go to my friend’s house with four other people, and we drink wine and paint pictures. How many glasses of red wine can I drink and still be OK to drive?

Paint and sip gatherings are super fun! But if you drink, you shouldn’t drive. A 10-ounce glass of wine, which is a standard serving, counts as two drinks.
It’s great that you’re concerned about drinking and driving! The amount of wine you can safely consume before driving varies based on several factors, including your age, weight, gender, and more, as well as the laws where you’re driving.
For those over age 21, your blood-alcohol concentration (BAC) cannot be greater than 0.08 to drive legally. A 120-pound female could reach this limit in one drink or less.
For instance, the food you’ve eaten or medications you’ve been prescribed can interfere with your body’s ability to process alcohol like the average person would.
With that being said, you should never get behind the wheel if you feel impaired—and that can happen far before your BAC reaches 0.08. So your best bet is to avoid driving altogether if you’ve been drinking. Instead, consider calling an Uber or Lyft, taking public transportation, or asking a friend to drive you home.
Drinking and driving
is extremely dangerous and carries some big legal consequences, including license suspension and jail time. It’s not worth the risk.
And with Uber and Lyft, there’s no reason to drive if you’re under the influence. A $10 ride is almost certainly the better idea compared to $10,000 in court costs and legal fees.
If you want to scrounge up some extra cash for a few Uber rides, why not shop for car insurance policies on the
