Sales of electric cars in Canada have been steadily growing over the years, and in 2021, Canada’s auto dealers sold about 66,800 electric vehicles. In 2020, Canadians registered 54,353 electric vehicles.
While electric cars still make up a relatively small portion of cars on the road in Canada, a recent survey from Clean Energy Canada found that 80% of Canadians were open to buying an electric car.
