How many cylinders does an Acura MDX have?
I just got a promotion at work and as a tiny (big) reward for myself, I want to buy a new Acura SUV. I’m looking for an Acura with decent engine power, though. How many cylinders does an Acura MDX have?

Congrats on the promotion—all that hard work has certainly earned you rights to a shiny, new luxury SUV!
The Acura MDX has six cylinders in its engine. You’ll be happy to know that the MDX’s turbocharged V6 is capable of a very decent 355-horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. But this isn’t the only engine available.
The MDX comes in six trim levels (or packages) and two V6 engines depending on which trim you get. The base MDX Technology, A-Spec, and Advance packages all come with a less powerful 290-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 (267 lb-ft of torque). The top tier, sport-oriented Type S and Type S Advance packages both enjoy that gutsier turbocharged 355-hp 3.0-liter V6.
No matter what trim or engine you go for, AcuraWatch driver assistance features and Acura’s highly intelligent infotainment system come standard. You can’t go wrong with any of the MDX’s trims, unless you’re absolutely set on ventilated front seats (starting in the A-Spec trim) or a 25-speaker ELS Studio sound system (only for the ritziest Type S Advance trim).
