How many car accidents happen in Utah per day?

I live in Utah and I saw two car crashes in one day! Out of curiosity, I was wondering how often this happens. What’s the average amount of car accidents each day in Utah?

Utah
has seen an average of 170 car accidents per day since the beginning of 2023. That's a little higher than the 2022 average of 160 accidents per day.
But that's only taking into account the crashes recorded by the
Utah Department of Public Safety
based on law enforcement crash reports. These reports are only created when an accident involves injuries, deaths, or at least $2,500 in property damage. It's safe to say that Utah's crash rate would rise significantly if we added all the fender benders to go unreported!
To protect yourself from

caused by you or another motorist, make sure you have the right coverage. In addition to the liability coverage and personal injury protection coverage required by Utah state laws, you should also consider:
By adding these to your existing policy, you can protect yourself against any injuries that leave you in the hospital or unable to work.
