How many 1956 Ford F-100s were made?

I’m always curious about classic cars, and the 1956 Ford F-100 really piqued my interest. I read that there weren't many of these made and even fewer still exist, but it didn’t talk about figures. How many of these were produced?

The 1956 model is worth learning more about! Ford produced 137,581 Ford F-100s in 1956, which surprisingly, wasn’t a ton compared to the 700,000 Ford F-150s that are produced today. However, the main thing that made the Ford F-100 an interesting vehicle was that it was the most powerful production car of its time.
The Ford F-100 had a 3.5-liter inline-six engine under the hood that churned out an impressive 167 horsepower. That may not seem like much by today’s standards, but it’s quite a bit considering the technology at the time.
Today, you can find one of these pickups for about $5,000 on average. However, mint-condition Ford F-100s go for about $80,000 to $90,000.
