Congrats on the new car, and great question! It is best to get your new car insured as quickly as possible, and the process should be relatively simple!
If you already have an insurance policy, you will most likely have a grace period to get your new car insured. The grace period will usually last between a few days to a month.
If you’re adding a car to your policy, however, the grace period will be shorter—probably around two to four days. If you’re
replacing the car
covered by your policy, a grace period between a week to an entire month.
