How long does car paint take to cure?

I just got a new paint job on my Mustang, and I will be picking it up from the body shop this afternoon. I want to take care of this paint job as much as possible and keep it clean; it was not cheap! How long does it take a paint job to cure?

Congratulations on the paint job! It can take at least 24 hours for the paint job to cure, but it is a little more complex than that, so I am glad you asked.
A 24-hour wait time on a paint job is good enough to drive your
Mustang
around, but professionals will say the true cure time is between 30 to 90 days. If you want to wash your car during this timeframe, keep it simple and use a mild soap (not dish soap) and water with a microfiber cloth.
Do not use any harsh chemicals or waxes at this time. You can go to a standard car wash or wax the car yourself after 90 days.
Anytime modifications are done to your vehicle, make sure to contact your insurance provider so that your updates are adequately covered. This is where
