How long do wasps live in your house?
There is a wasp nest in my attic, which explains why I’ve been seeing wasps in my house. I’d like to get rid of the wasps, but I’m wondering if they’ll naturally disappear. How long can wasps live in your house?

I’m so sorry to hear you’re dealing with a wasp nest! A single wasp can live a long time trapped inside—up to three or four days! If there is a food or water source, it could live as long as three months.
If you’ve sealed off the attic and you’re certain there is no food or water source, you could wait it out. It sounds like it has already been in there for a while, so it probably won’t survive more than two or three days more at most once you cut off any supplies.
If there is food or water that the wasp could survive on or your attic isn’t completely sealed, though, you’ll probably need to take action—unless you’re willing to wait three months or more. While you could get rid of the nest yourself, there is a decent chance of you getting stung. Using wasp spray would improve your chances, but hiring a professional is always the safest option as a wasp nest can last six months or more.
Wasps and other pests can get into your home through cracks and damage to your exterior. If your house is damaged in any way, and you can’t repair it, you’ll probably be dealing with pests of some kind sooner or later.
