How far back does my DMV driving record go?

I’ve gotten several speeding tickets over the years, but it’s been a couple since the last one. I’m just wondering, how far back does my DMV driving record go?

It varies by state, but your driving record will go back at least three years no matter where you live. Also, the severity of the infraction can affect the length of the time it remains on your record. For example, a ticket for running a stop sign may not stay on your record as long as one for reckless driving.
