How do you renew a driver’s license in SC?

What is the driver’s license renewal process like in SC? I moved here a couple of years ago and this is my first time renewing my license here, so I don’t know what to expect.

You can renew your driver’s license in
SC
 online, in person, or by mail. Here are the details:
  • Renewing online: Visit the SC DMV website and follow the prompts.
  • Renewing in person: Visit your local DMV office. Be prepared to take a vision test to get your new license.
  • Renewing by mail: You’ll still need to get an eye exam when renewing by mail, so make an appointment with a licensed provider. Then, mail your application, money order or check covering the $25 renewal fee, and your vision test results to: SCDMV Alternative Media PO Box 1498 Blythewood, SC 29016-0035
