How do you remote start a Honda Accord from 2016?
I’ve never felt the need to use the remote start feature for my Honda before. After moving up North just a few days ago, I now understand why it’s such a luxury. I’d love to get my car toasty warm in the morning before driving to work! How does the remote start feature work on a Honda Accord?

It certainly gets a bit chilly in the Northern United States, especially if you’re not accustomed to it. Fortunately, using the remote start feature is simple and will make a big difference in your commute!
- Be within 100 feet of the vehicle
- Press the lock button on the key fob
- Press and hold the remote start button for five seconds
With that, the vehicle should start right up!
When using the remote start feature, it’s also good to know that:
- The engine will run for 10 minutes before turning off
- You can repeat the above process before 10 minutes has passed to reset the timer
- Pressing the remote start button again will shut the engine off
- The climate control system will automatically be set to 72°
- The security system remains on
- The lights and accessories remain off
