How do you put a BMW F30 in neutral?

My BMW F30 is having some car issues. I’m trying to service it at home but it’s stuck in the driveway. How do I get it into neutral if it won’t start?

BMWs are notoriously expensive to maintain and repair, but servicing your car at home will definitely help! There are a few ways to put your BMW F30 in neutral and they range from simple to complicated.
If your car battery is full but your engine won’t start Try to start the engine and hold it there—you should hear the engine continuously turning over. Then press down the gear release button on your shifter and hold it forward. After a few seconds, your F30 should shift from Park to Neutral.
If your car battery won’t start You’ll have to get underneath your BMW F30 for this one. Jack up your F30 and slide under with some tools. Remove the under panel found beneath the approximate location of your center console. You should see a bolt on the side of a large black box that’s pointed toward a metal lever. Take a 5mm Allen key and screen in the bolt until it compresses the lever to put your F30 in neutral.
