How do you plan a driving trip?

I’m trying to plan a driving trip for this summer and I’m not really sure where to start. What can I do to plan out the trip and make sure it goes smoothly?

It’s always nice to have a trip to look forward to! Here are a few ways that you can plan ahead to make your driving trip run smoothly:
  1. Pick a nearby destination if this is your first road trip. That way if something goes wrong, it’ll be easier to get back home.
  2. Once you decide on your destination, choose a route. Remember that you should plan to stop along the way, so try to pick a route that brings you close to other cool destinations, too.
  3. Before you start planning more, check your car to make sure it’s in good enough shape for a long drive. Does it need an oil change, new tires, or any other basic maintenance done before you leave?
  4. Clear your schedule for the time that you want to travel. Give yourself an extra day or two at the end of your trip in case anything goes wrong!
  5. Make reservations for any hotels or attractions that require it.
  6. Prepare to travel by making a new playlist, finding a podcast to listen to, or
    choosing some games
to entertain you while you’re on the road.
When you’re on a long road trip, it’s really important to have a good car insurance policy in place to protect you. Luckily, the
