How do you open the gas tank on a Cadillac XTS from 2018?

from 2018, push and release the rearward center edge of the door. The Cadillac XTS has a capless refueling system, so you don’t have to worry about removing the cap before fueling. But before you start the fuel flow, ensure the filling nozzle is fully inserted and latched. After you’ve filled up, wait a few seconds before removing the nozzle to avoid spillage. If you spill fuel on the car’s exterior paint, clean the surface as soon as possible.
While it may be tempting to maximize the amount of gas in your tank, you shouldn’t overfill it! Topping off and overfilling your tank by more than three clicks can lead to the following:
- Vehicle performance issues (engine stalling, fuel system damage, etc.)
- Fuel spills
- Possible fuel fire
Instead, you’ll want to start
saving money on gas
. A few ways to lessen your fuel consumption are by idling less, avoiding abrupt acceleration and braking, as well as keeping up with your car maintenance schedule
