I just bought a new BMW X2 after driving an old clunker for years. I’m not used to driving a newer vehicle yet and don’t want to accidentally break something! How do you open the gas tank on a BMW X2?

- Pull up to the gas pump and exit the vehicle.
- Walk around to the fuel door and push in with your fingertips to pop it open.
- Unscrew the gas cap by turning it in a clockwise direction.
That’s all there is to it! If you want to follow the manufacturer’s recommendation, you can fill your X2 with premium gasoline to boost performance—but using regular or mid-grade fuel won’t hurt your car. When you’re done, simply screw the gas cap back on and push the fuel door closed again.
