How do you open the gas tank door on a 2016 Kia Soul? I rented one for a trip to L.A. and I have to fill it up with gas before I bring it back, but I can’t figure out how to open the tank!

Here’s how to open the gas tank on a 2016 Kia Soul:

Bring your vehicle to a stop and put it in Park.
Lean down and look on the front floor area to the left of your steering wheel. You should see a small lever with a gas tank icon on it.
Pull this lever and you’ll hear a pop as the fuel door releases.
Get out of your vehicle to open the fuel door the rest of the way.

While many modern vehicles simply require you to press on your fuel door in order to access your gas tank, the 2016 Kia Soul still operates with a plain and simple fuel door lever!
