How do you lower the back seat in a Honda Civic?

What’s the best way to lower the back seat in my Honda Civic? I want to transport a bed frame in my car, but I can’t figure out how to do it without removing the whole seat back, which seems extreme.

Your Honda Civic might seem small, but it’s built to take on extra storage space when you need it. Follow these steps to lower the back seat in your Honda Civic:
  1. Open
    the trunk
    .
  2. Pull the lever located in the upper lefthand corner of your back seats.
  3. Push your seats down while you pull the lever.
If your car doesn’t have a lever in the trunk, use these instructions to lower the seats **from inside your car:
  1. Locate the lever by the shoulder of your seat.
  2. Pull the lever on your seats.
  3. Push down your seats to fold them forward.
