How do you get melted crayon out of car upholstery?

How can I get melted crayon out of car upholstery? My son left his crayons in my car on a 100-degree day, and they made a MESS. I don't want to have to pay to get my car detailed––please help!

“Oh no! Crayons are fun, but definitely not when they’re melted!
Here’s what you’ll need to remove that pesky stain:
  • WD-40
  • A knife or other sharp object
  • Dry cleaning solvent
Here’s what to do:
  1. Spray WD-40 on the stain to loosen the hardened wax.
  2. Scrape the wax with a knife (be gentle).
  3. Dab the stain with dry cleaning solvent.
  4. Allow the seat to air dry.
If you cannot remove the stain, you’ll have to bite the bullet and get your
car interior
detailed.
