How do you fit a bike in a Honda Civic?
I’m meeting up with some friends for a mountain biking trip, but I don’t know how to get my bike to the trailhead. I don’t own a bike rack and my Honda seems a little small for my bike. What’s the best way to fit a bike in my Honda Civic?

A mountain biking trip sounds awesome! While a Honda Civic may be a bit small for a bike, you can still make it fit by taking off both wheels of your bike.
However, before you do anything with your bike, you’ll need to lower the back seats:
- Locate the keyhole on top of the rear shelf in your backseat.
- Insert your car key in the hole and twist it to the side. At the same time, pull down on the top of your seats. They should fold down.
Once you’ve folded down your back seats, you can:
- Open your trunk.
- Remove the front and back wheels from your bike and lay them in the trunk, halfway into the backseat of your car.
- From there, you should be able to fit the bike’s body snuggly on top.
- Close your trunk, and hit the road!
