A mountain biking trip sounds awesome! While a Honda Civic may be a bit small for a bike, you can still make it fit by taking off both wheels of your bike.
However, before you do anything with your bike, you’ll need to lower the back seats:
Locate the keyhole on top of the rear shelf in your backseat.
Insert your car key in the hole and twist it to the side. At the same time, pull down on the top of your seats. They should fold down.
Once you’ve folded down your back seats, you can:
Remove the front and back wheels from your bike and lay them in the trunk, halfway into the backseat of your car.
From there, you should be able to fit the bike’s body snuggly on top.
Close your trunk, and hit the road!
Hopefully, these steps will help you fit your bike in the back of your Honda Civic. But if your car doesn’t have folding seats, it may be time to invest in a bike rack or other storage option
