I lost my Honda key fob, and now I don’t know what to do. It had my metal key in it as well. What steps should I take to find my lost Honda key fob?

Keeping track of keys is always a challenge, and losing them can be really frustrating, but try not to worry. Here are some tips for finding your lost Honda key fob:
  • Search where it should be: One clutter expert believes that most lost objects are usually within two feet of their designated space. So try not to panic and thoroughly search the area you usually leave your keys.
  • Clean as you search: Our eyes and minds are often distracted by messes. If you retrace your steps and methodically clean as you look, you’ll be more likely to find your missing keys.
  • Stop moving and think: Often, you know exactly where you left your keys, but you’re so worried about having lost them that you can’t remember! Try taking a few deep breaths and thinking back to the last time you used them. Hopefully, you’ll remember exactly where they should be.
While these tips are great for finding lost keys, the best solution is prevention. Consider attaching a key tracker to your keychain and designating a specific place for your keys. That way, you’ll know exactly where to look for your keys, and you can use your phone to track them if you do end up losing them again.
If you still can’t find your keys, you can visit your local Honda dealer and service center to get a new key fob. Typically, all the dealership will need is proof of ownership.
