Pairing your phone via Bluetooth to your 2012
Toyota Tundra
is a pretty straightforward process, but the steps will vary depending on which
trim level
you have. Some 2012 Tundras came with a touchscreen display system and others didn’t. We’ll give you instructions for both!
If your Tundra does not have a multimedia display touchscreen, follow these steps:
  • Turn on your Tundra and ensure the Bluetooth system is enabled. You can do this by selecting the Menu button on your steering wheel, selecting Phone, and then Bluetooth via your audio system display.
  • Enable Bluetooth on your phone.
  • Press the Phone button again on the steering wheel.
  • Select Bluetooth on the audio system display.
  • Choose Add New Device or Search.
  • Use the audio system controls to select your device from the list of available devices.
  • You might be prompted to enter a pairing code for your phone.
If your Tundra has a touchscreen display, you’ll want to follow the first two steps above to make sure Bluetooth is on for your phone and vehicle. Then, use these instructions:
  • On the touchscreen, select Add New Device or Search for available Bluetooth devices.
  • Select your device from the list of available connections on the screen.
  • If prompted, enter the pairing code for your device.
