How do you clean coffee out of a car seat?
I work at a busy office, and I always do the coffee run. My boss is nice and lets me drive her car when I go. But today, I had to brake suddenly because someone cut me off—and I spilled coffee all over my boss’s seats! What’s the best way to get coffee off car seats?

Yikes! Rough day.
To clean coffee out of a car seat, first, blot the spill. If the coffee is still hot, be careful!
Next, combine the following in a clean spray bottle:
- 1 part white distilled vinegar
- 2 parts warm water
- A couple splashes of liquid dish soap
Spray the spill and gently dab the seat. While you’re doing this, take stock if there are any other spots that you might’ve missed in the midst of the chaos.
Next, grab a bowl of water and some clean towels to rinse the spots you cleaned with the vinegar mixture. Don’t just dump the fresh water all over the seat—work slow and blot. Repeat as necessary.
Sop up as much dampness as possible with dry towels before switching over to a hairdryer to fully dry the spot. Leftover wetness could promote mold or mildew growth.
Hopefully, your boss won’t be too upset since you were trying to do the whole office a favor. Maybe she’ll even be impressed by your quick reaction time!
