I'm looking to switch car insurance providers so that I can save some money and make changes to my policy with an app. How do I switch my policy to a new provider?

Good question!
Switching
your car insurance company can be done in a couple of different ways.
But first, you’ll need to find a new policy. You can use online comparison websites or call insurance companies separately to get a quote. Once you’ve found an insurance provider and price that meets your needs, begin the process of signing on to your new policy.
Your current car insurance
declarations page
can help you when you’re trying to figure out the coverage and deductible amounts to select on your new policy. The declarations page lists your current coverage amounts, vehicles and drivers on the policy, and other important information about your auto coverage. You can plug these values into an online tool, or tell an insurance provider the details of your policy so they can match your current coverage.
Make sure you don’t cancel your current policy until you’ve signed onto and have coverage with the new company you chose. A lapse in coverage can cause your premium to increase in the future, and driving without coverage is illegal in most states.
