How do I remove points from my driving license in NJ?

Is there any way to get points taken off of my New Jersey driving record? I’ve gotten a few speeding tickets in my time and they’ve really added up.

We think it’s great that you are taking the initiative to get a few points removed from your driver’s license. There are a couple of ways that you can remove points from your driver’s license in
New Jersey
.
First, you can take a
defensive driving course
. Completing a defensive driving course will remove two points from your record. You can do this once every five years.
Second, you can keep a clean record. If you can go three years without any violations and without having your license suspended, you’ll have three points removed from your record.
Third, you can take a driver improvement or probationary driver program. Doing so will remove three points from your record.
A spotty driving record can also increase your insurance rates. The
