The best way to recharge the AC on a 2008 Ford Explorer is to purchase a car AC recharge kit online or at an auto parts store. They often cost less than $30 and are relatively easy to use.
For best results, follow the instructions provided on the packaging. But essentially, you’ll locate the low-pressure AC port under the hood of your Explorer. It will be near the base of the windshield on the passenger side. It should have a green cap with service port printed on it. This is where you will connect the AC recharge kit.
