I need to get my driving hours up fast so that I can take my test and get my license before this summer. How can I get more driving hours?

While it can be really frustrating to practice driving for hours on end, it’s important to get used to the road before striking out on your own. Luckily, I have a few tips to speed up the process.
Here are some tricks to get your driving hours up fast and lose the learner’s permit:
- Take a road trip: Probably the easiest way to get a lot of hours in quickly is to take a road trip. Spend the weekend at a campsite,find some weird roadside attractions, or pick a restaurant a state over that you’ve always wanted to try. That way, you’ll be able to log hours and have fun at the same time!
- Always say yes: Even if you’re not in the mood to drive, say yes to every opportunity. Even if it’s just 15 minutes, you’ll be able to log that time on your hours sheet.
- Take a class: Driving with an instructor can take some of the stress out of driving since you won’t be in the car with your parents. You’ll also be able to log more hours without having to ask your parents to come with you.
- Find a routine: Try to find a time of day that works for everyone, and agree to practice driving for an hour. You’ll be guaranteed at least seven hours per week and you won’t have to constantly ask someone to drive with you.
