You’re right—uneven edges are a sign to replace your windshield wipers. In fact, it is best to replace your wipers every six to 12 months.
To put
windshield wipers
on a Honda Accord, you’ll need to:
  1. Order the correct blades for your vehicle. You can refer to your owner’s manual or do a quick Google search to figure out what you need.
  2. Starting on the driver’s side, raise the wiper blade. Raise the passenger-side blade next.
  3. Again, working from the driver’s side first, locate the pinch clip. Squeeze the two clips together to loosen the hold on the blade.
  4. Slide the wiper blade downward to remove it. Remember the wiper hook is spring-loaded, so be careful not to touch the windshield with the hook. It has the potential to crack your windshield. If you are worried, lay a towel on the windshield.
  5. Locate the locking latch on the new wiper blade near the connector. Push the latch upwards to position the hook to point at the wiper connector.
  6. Insert the hook upward in the holder. When you hear a click sound, it is locked in place. Or if you have a pinch clip-type holder, apply pressure to open the holder to slide the new blade in.
  7. Repeat steps 3 to 6 for the passenger-side wiper.
  8. Fold the wipers back down.
  9. Get in the driver’s seat. Turn your car on and use the windshield wash function to test the new blades.
Now you know when and how to replace your windshield wipers!
