How do I program Homelink on a Honda?
I just moved to a new home and I finally have a garage instead of a carport. My Honda has the Homelink system on it, but I’ve never needed to program it until now. How can I program Homelink on my Honda?

Congratulations on purchasing a new home! A new garage may not seem that exciting, but your car will love it, especially with value retention and exterior condition. Moreover, programming your Homelink on a Honda is simple.
- Hold the garage door opener within six inches of the Homelink system.
- Press and hold the buttons on both the Homelink system and the garage door opener at the same time.
If that doesn’t work or you can’t figure it out, follow these step-by-step directions:
- Hop into the driver’s seat of your vehicle.
- Locate the Homelink buttons, which are the three buttons located near the center interior lights and sunglasses holder on the ceiling.
- Choose the button you want to open your garage door.
- Take your garage door opener and hold it about six inches from the Homelink buttons.
- Press and hold the desired Homelink button and the garage door opener together.
- You should see a red light start to flash.
- Continue to hold both buttons until the red light turns off.
- Test the Homelink button to ensure your garage door opens.
- If it doesn’t, you may have to hit the reset button on the garage door opener and try the process again.
