- Once you pull the hood release, the hood will pop up, and stay slightly raised
- Locate the safety latch. It is in the space between the hood and the car, right below theSuzukihood ornament
- Push the safety latch to the right, and then lift the hood straight up with one hand and move the hood strut in place with the other
