How do I get the weed smell out of a car vent?
I let my brother borrow my car while I was working overseas. It smelled like Cheech & Chong had borrowed it—or at least when I turned the air on. After scolding him, I’m more worried about getting the smell out of the car. How can I get the weed smell out of my car vents?

remove the smell of cigarette smoke
. The best way to get the weed smell—or any smoke smell—out of your car is to use an air conditioner treatment spray. Here’s what you need to do:
- Pick up a popular brand like Ultra Shield and use it with Lysol to eliminate the odor.
- Once you have the spray, turn your car on and turn the AC on full blast.
- Exit the car, and look for the air intake, which is located at the top edge of the hood near the windshield. Spray as directed on the can. Repeat with the Lysol.
- Put the windows down to air out the car while you’re spraying the intake.
- Use odor neutralizers in the vents as necessary.
