How do I get the Lexus infotainment system update?
The display screen in my Lexus has been saying something about a “software update” for a few days now, but I don’t know how to install it. How do I get the Lexus infotainment system update?

Great question! You can update your Lexus’ infotainment system software—or check whether an update is available—by visiting Lexus’ firmware updates page.
When you visit this page, you’ll need to either enter your Lexus’ vehicle identification number (VIN) or search using your vehicle model, model year, and choose whether or not your vehicle is equipped with navigation software.
If there is a system update available, it will take you to a page with two options: either download the system update instructions as a .pdf or click the “Get Updates” button. If you choose to do the latter, you will be directed to a page asking you to select all applicable model IDs—once you do, you’ll be able to either download or view the vehicle’s multimedia system update installation instructions.
Depending on the Lexus model you own, you may be able to download software updates directly from your car’s multimedia display—if this option is available to you, all you have to do is select the “Settings” icon, press “Software Update,” and then press “Update Software.”
