How do I get around having car insurance?

Car insurance is really expensive, and I don't want to get it if I don't have to. Is there any way that I can get around having it?

That’s a fair question! Insurance can be expensive, but it is almost always legally required to have some kind of coverage in order to operate a vehicle.
If you do choose to drive uninsured and are deemed at-fault in an accident, you won’t have any help paying for the medical bills and property damages of the other party.
If you would still rather avoid paying for coverage, New Hampshire does allow individuals to drive without insurance. However, you would still need to pay out of pocket if deemed at fault in an accident.
There is a minimum insurance requirement in each state If you’re hoping to pay less each month, this is the kind of coverage you should be looking for.
The best way to find cheap insurance is by using the Jerry app. We’ll collect personalized quotes for you, so that all you need to do is compare rates and find the best deal on the coverage you need. And if you do find a plan you like, we’ll even help you switch!
Best of luck, and happy shopping!
