How do I fix a 2011 Ford Edge dome light that stays on?

I have a problem with my Ford Edge dome light. Regardless of whether the car doors are closed, the dome light stays on. I’m afraid that this is going to keep draining my battery. What should I do?

We’re sorry to hear about your problem! To fix a 2011 Ford Edge dome light, you usually only need to roll back the dashboard light dial to the left of the steering wheel. If this is all the way up, your interior lights stay on. Just roll it back down, and hopefully, you’ll resolve the issue.
If that doesn’t work, the problem might be your door latch. Sometimes, the door latch or the switch that turns the lights off can malfunction. You can fix these issues if you know how to replace a door light switch—you just need to buy the part from a Ford dealership.
If your Edge has a faulty latch but you aren’t handy with car repairs, just take your car to a mechanic. It will probably cost around $100 including parts and labor to amend the situation.
