How do I connect via Bluetooth to my 2009 Cadillac CTS?
I just bought a used 2009 Cadillac CTS and am trying to figure out how to wirelessly connect it to my phone—the only problem is I don’t have the owner’s manual and I’m at a loss for what to do. How do I connect via Bluetooth to my 2009 Cadillac CTS?

Connecting your phone via Bluetooth to your 2009 Cadillac CTS is pretty simple—all you have to do is follow the steps below:
- Find and press the push to talk button. Hold it down for two seconds until the system says Ready followed by a tone. (If your vehicle has a navigation system, you will only hear a tone—once the tone sounds, say Hands free, after which the system will respond with Ready followed by a tone.
- Say Bluetooth. The system will then reply with Bluetooth ready followed by a tone.
- Say Pair. The system will then provide instructions and a four-digit PIN.
- Start the Bluetooth pairing process on your smartphone. Under the Pair a new device heading in your Bluetooth settings, you should see a listing titled General Motors. Select the device and follow the system’s instructions referenced in step 3 (you will also need to enter the PIN).
- You will be asked for the phone’s name - type in whatever name you find makes the most sense and hit Confirm.
- The system will then respond with has been successfully paired.
If all steps were done correctly, your phone should now be paired via Bluetooth to your 2009 Cadillac CTS.
