How do I connect to Bluetooth in a Jeep Compass from 2016?
I just bought my first vehicle, a 2016 Jeep Compass. Since I’m a new driver, I want to use Bluetooth to eliminate the temptation to look at my phone behind the wheel. What do I need to do to connect my phone to the Jeep’s Bluetooth?

Buying your first car is such a milestone! You can connect to Bluetooth in a 2016 Jeep Compass through the Uconnect Bluetooth menu settings. Bluetooth calling is a standard feature in this vehicle.
- First, check that Bluetooth is activated on your cell phone.
- Add your phone by pressing the “Settings” menu on the multimedia screen and “Add Device”. The screen will display a four-digit PIN.
- Open your phone’s Bluetooth menu. The Jeep Compass will be discoverable on your phone under the pairing option called Uconnect.
- Select the Uconnect pairing option and allow a moment for the phone and vehicle to sync.
Once, the wireless connection has been established, the multimedia screen will display an alert that the pairing was successful. You’ll be asked if you want to make your phone the favorite. Select “Yes” so that the Compass automatically syncs with your phone’s Bluetooth each time you enter the vehicle.
