It’s been getting pretty rainy where I live, and I’ve noticed it’s become increasingly more difficult for me to see. I think it’s time to change my wipers, but I’ve never done it before. What’s the best way to change the wiper blades on my Honda Civic?

Changing your windshield wipers is a basic, essential bit of
car maintenance
. Plus, it’s easy to do! Follow these steps to change the wipers on your Honda Civic:- Buy the proper size wipers for your car. Check your owner’s manual to find out which size best fits your car.
- On the driver’s side wiper, find the clip that holds the wiper in place—it should be by where the wiper holder and wiper meet.
- Push the clip backward to free the wiper from the hook.
- Push the blade down the arm to disconnect and remove it.
- To connect the new blade, push the hook into the wiper attachment.
- Pull the blade up toward the end of the arm until it clicks. Be gentle—you shouldn’t need to pull it too hard.
- Repeat steps 2-6 on the passenger side wiper.
