I’m moving out of my apartment and into a new home, which means it’s time to cancel my renters insurance. How do I cancel renters insurance with GEICO?

Congratulations on buying a new home! That’s huge! Apartments are great and all, but owning your own home is something special.
With most providers, canceling an insurance policy is as simple as giving your insurance provider a call. If you’ve prepaid your policy, most companies will refund most or all of what you’ve paid, too.
If you acquired renters insurance through
GEICO
, you may already know that GEICO doesn’t actually offer your renters coverage. GEICO is essentially an
insurance broker
, selling third-party insurance from other providers.
Even so, GEICO will normally cancel your policy for you.. It’s just like
canceling any other GEICO policy
